Where We Stand Today: Beginning to Build
This vision isn’t new. It’s evolved from ten successful years of running the Sseko Gap Year program. We proved that our model of deep, holistic support works. We saw how it could keep a young woman’s dream of university study alive when it might otherwise have been lost. That success opened our eyes to the bigger need within our community.
Today, MDI is complete in everything but one key piece.

Our Need
To move this proven vision from plan to reality, we need you! We need walls. We need one roof. We need the first workshop. This isn’t just a building; it is the ignition point for countless new futures. It is the physical key needed to unlock everything else.
Currently, we need $25,000 to construct this foundational workshop.
Your gift will fund the complete construction of this necessary building that will house our Culinary Arts as well as our Leather and Textiles Workshop.
